The Patient Engagement Open Forum (PEOF) is a leading international event dedicated entirely to patient engagement and collaboration in healthcare. The forum brings together patients, patient organizations, pharmaceutical companies, researchers, academic institutions, regulatory agencies, and policymakers to exchange experiences, knowledge, and best practices regarding the active involvement of patients in research, development, and health policy.
The fourth edition of this three-day conference took place in Seville, following several successful editions in Baveno, Italy. Seville’s sunny and inspiring setting provided the ideal backdrop for open dialogue, knowledge sharing, and international collaboration.
Over the course of three days, more than 250 participants from Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia took part in a comprehensive program aimed at strengthening collaboration between patients and the healthcare sector. PEOF’s primary goal is to create a safe and informal environment where patients and industry representatives can meet, engage in dialogue, and work together to find solutions to the challenges facing tomorrow’s healthcare system.

The program consisted of a combination of plenary sessions, interactive workshops, parallel breakout sessions, and panel discussions, which focused on current topics related to patient engagement, research, innovation, regulation, and inclusivity. The interactive format encouraged active participation and ensured that all stakeholders could share their experiences and perspectives.
In addition to the substantive program, there was a strong emphasis on networking and community building. During numerous informal get-togethers, participants had the opportunity to make new connections, strengthen existing partnerships, and exchange ideas in an open and constructive atmosphere.
In conjunction with the conference, several additional activities were organized, including:
- An interactive trade show and exhibition space where organizations and companies could present their initiatives and projects;
- An awards ceremony to recognize exceptional contributions in the field of patient engagement;
- A cocktail reception that gave participants the opportunity to continue networking in a relaxed setting;
- A variety of themed dinners where participants could share experiences and insights in smaller groups.
Following the three-day forum, the Strategic Advisory Board (SAB) meeting took place. This high-level meeting brought together the organization’s strategic members and board members to discuss the future direction, priorities, and further development of patient engagement at the international level.

TMAB was responsible for the complete coordination of this event:
