The Digital Society Awards is a prestigious gala event that recognizes excellence in digital transformation within the public sector. Organized by TMAB Business Events and Agoria, the 22nd edition took place at the Afrika Palace in Tervuren, bringing together a powerful mix of leading technology partners and public institutions.
The event attracted a high-level, content-driven audience with a focus on digitalization in the public sector, including management and policy leaders from local, provincial, regional, federal, and European governments, as well as mayors, municipal secretaries, aldermen, representatives of Public Centers for Social Welfare, heads of IT departments, IT managers, and C-level executives from major technology companies.
Designed as an elegant gala evening, the event combined an award ceremony with a seated dinner in a refined setting. Guests were welcomed with an aperitif, followed by the award program seamlessly integrated into the dinner, and concluded with a dessert buffet and open bar.
TMAB's work included:
- Concept & experience design: development of the event concept, narrative, and dramaturgy of the award ceremony, with a focus on a coherent and premium guest experience
- Supplier & partner management: selection, briefing, coordination, and on-site supervision of catering, audiovisual production, video and photography teams, presenters, guest speakers, musical acts, and other suppliers
- Website & digital content: creation, design, and complete development of the event website, including ongoing updates with nominees, winners, visuals, and post-event content
- Partner & sponsor management: drafting and management of the partner dossier, sponsor follow-up, table seating arrangements, and management of partner visibility throughout the event
- Communication & registrations: all communication with participants and partners, from save-the-dates and registrations to practical information and post-event thank-you communications
- Reception & guest assistance: coordination of reception staff, cloakroom management, registration desks, and on-site guidance for guests
- Stage direction & coordination: preparation of content and technical scripts, organization of rehearsals, briefing and support for presenters and award presenters, and full stage coordination during the ceremony
- Technical & show production: on-site management of lighting, sound, and visuals, integration of presentations, videos, bumpers, and sound effects, and supervision of the complete audiovisual flow
- Musical entertainment: selection, briefing, reception, and follow-up of live musical acts, including timing and integration within the program
- Venue styling & decoration: floral decoration, table settings, stage decoration, red carpet reception, and mood lighting for a warm and prestigious setting
- Visual design & printing: design and production of signage, banners, badges, cue cards for presenters, partner table cards, and menus
- Budget & financial management: invoicing and financial follow-up for partners and participants
Thanks to this integrated, concept-driven, and operationally comprehensive approach, the Digital Society Awards were executed professionally and smoothly, featuring a strong visual identity and high-quality content.
